It’s More Than Just Swimming – It’s a Lifeline

Meet Henry and Ellie – Two Children Who Are Thriving Thanks to Your Support
When Henry first started swimming lessons, he was excited. For over two years, he gave it his best, but despite his love for the water, he struggled. Due to sensory challenges and difficulties with language processing, he couldn't follow most instructions. Over time, he became withdrawn and anxious. Eventually, Henry stopped wanting to go to lessons altogether.
His younger sister, Ellie, also tried mainstream lessons. But it quickly became clear she wasn’t safe. Overstimulated by the noise and chaos of a busy pool, Ellie would often leave her teaching area and swim on her own. Transitions were hard—getting in and out of the water caused meltdowns, and routines just didn’t work in a setting that wasn’t built for her needs.
That’s where Level Water came in.
With specialised, adaptive swimming lessons tailored for children with disabilities, both Henry and Ellie have found their place.
“Henry needs calm, simple instructions and lessons built around his interests. Ellie needs constant movement, transition time, and space to regulate. Level Water gets that. And they get them.”
In the right environment, both children are thriving. Henry, who previously refused most physical activity, now loves swimming—it’s the only form of exercise he willingly takes part in, and it’s making a real difference to his health. Ellie, once overwhelmed, now looks forward to every session.
“They both love being in the water—it’s their happy place. And now, they’re learning to be safe in it too. I’m so proud of them.”
Thanks to donors and fundraisers like you, children like Henry and Ellie aren’t just learning to swim—they’re gaining confidence, independence, and joy.
Every £15 donated pays for one life-changing swimming lesson with Level Water. And every lesson helps a child take one more step toward a safer, healthier, and more inclusive future.
“Thank you so much for giving my children the opportunity to learn a skill that will last a lifetime. Your teachers are amazing—they think outside the box, and it shows in everything they do.”
Want to know if your support makes a difference? It absolutely does.
“Please keep fundraising. Children with disabilities shouldn’t be shut out of learning a vital life skill because of their needs. Level Water is changing that—one splash at a time.”
