A classic, reimagined.
For nearly two decades the Dart10k has been the UK's original marathon -distance swim: ten kilometres of wild, road-free river, winding through a stretch of Devon countryside you can only reach by water. Dart10k is the original rite of passage into the marathon swimmers club. It earned its place on every open water swimmer's bucket list for a reason.
For years, the weather threatened it. So we moved the event to July and rebuilt the route. A ferry now carries you upriver to a pontoon launch, starting in cleaner, clearer water. In 2026 we swam the new course for the first time, and it worked.

A pontoon start in the Sharpham bends, downriver past Dittisham, finishing at Dart Marina. A better swim from the very first stroke.

A charity place is the only guaranteed way into the Dart10k.
It’s the same swim, and it comes with a £250 fundraising target. That money funds Level Water’s one-to-one swimming lessons for disabled children, so a charity place is the entry we’d most love you to choose.
