Out to Swim join the Dart10k

What does it means for Out to Swim (OTS) to be participating in the Level Water Dart 10k swim?

“Out to Swim (OTS) is the UK’s largest LGBTQ+ aquatics club with over 700 members based in London, Brighton, and Bristol (and with new branches in the pipeline). We are passionate about spaces which promote “aquatics for all”, a founding principle since the early 1990s when the club was established.

In this context, OTS could not be more aligned and supportive of what Level Water sets out to achieve for children with disabilities. To encourage all people into the water, learn new skills, and gain confidence that enriches lives.

OTS members understand as much as anyone the enrichment that learning to swim and being collectively active has on wider life. This ‘virtuous circle’ encompasses: self-esteem, community / friendships, resilience, goal setting and endeavour.

The Dart10k is a special event and a challenge. OTS members who have signed up to participate have a fantastic goal, the achievement of which is something to be genuinely proud of. This mirrors the fundamental aim of the event: to raise awareness and increase support of Level Water’s commitment to helping those with the most to gain from access to the water to overcome their challenges, and to enrich their lives.”
